It is our pleasure to introduce to you the curatorial and production team of our supported project, EASTgoesSOUTH.

Diya is an independent choreographer and performer. Her work involves embodied research both with performers and community members. She sees the artist as the key site for the integration of worlds and proposes to listen to what is needed. She is Founder of Citizens of Stage Co Lab, was a repertory dancer at Attakkalari and dance programmer at Shoonya. She has collaborated and performed across India, South Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa.

Poppy is a producer, researcher and consultant with a bold vision and strong values, dreaming up ambitious creative projects and bringing them to life over 15 years, working across art-forms and with diverse creative communities around the world. Poppy is co-founder and creative producer of #EastAfricanSoulTrain, director of @mesh_works.

Co-founder and creative director of #EastAfricanSoulTrain, Geraldine creates catalytic experiences for and with artists and culture-makers that lead to deep trust, collaboration, artistic growth and critical dialogue across boundaries. The work is considering, exploring and re-contextualizing entangled histories and potential futures while anchoring our embodied experience firmly in the power of presence.

Paramita is a performer, curator, and arts manager, based in Kolkata. For more than two decades, integrating curated art, performance and creative ideas into social change processes, especially education, rights of artists and environmental sustainability has been her focus. She is Co-Founder-Director of Artsforward.

Adrijaa Mridul Majumder is an arts administrator, event organiser, band manager and enthusiast of arts and culture. Aside from working in Goethe-Institut Kolkata, she also curates and manages programmes for Ponder Alt and Pickle Factory Dance Foundation. She currently performs with and manages the Kolkata-based synth-folk band, Dindūn.
